I know this isn't BF4 related but, I just closed and re-opened Origin and found BF 2142 Deluxe Edition there ready to download for FREE.
Anyone else got this?
I downloaded and installed it but it won't let me log in or create a new account, it says it can't contact the EA servers.
The place holder in Origin has pinkish corner with the word NEW in it.
Ok, now I have BF2 Complete Collection added to Origin also...

Didn't they shut the master servers down on this game? I'd love to fire it up again but if it ain't gonna log in, what's the point?

Do You have it in Origin too?
They revised Bf 1942 and it was put in Origin a couple of years back for it's 10 anniversary and it runs on your Origin account.

I closed (exited) and re-opened Origin and it was there.
I do own a registered CD copy and the DLC too, think that may have something to do with it?

maybe your e:mail account that you used to register / login to BF2142 is the same that is used to login to Origin?
That could have something to do with it maybe, If not then I don't know lol
All I know is, I have exited and reloaded Origin and I haven't seen it mysteriously appear on my Account so yeah..

its only you.....if i search for it it brings up nothing....and the last great game was bad company 2.....

Yup I have it too. Kinda funny since I already owned it and the expansion which shows up separate... so now I have three 2142's in my account.

A mate of mine had this as well a while ago. You probably have 2142 registered under that email addy, that's why it's probably appearing in Origin.

Remember Gamespy quit for 4 Years ( I mean it was 4 Years ). On Gamespy runs the Masterserver for BF2 & 2142
When you whant to Play it. Then goes this only Offline. But this need a Offline Profile
You must use Google to surch a Offline Profile

I don't see anything new of it on origin, doubt it is anything but a misunderstanding as server support when down ever since Gamespy went down. There are ways around it as an old clan I used to play with does, but there is no official server support for the game and its remaining player base has diminished ever since, excluding a few exceptions. Last title from Dice that promoted team play in my opinion, then again it was a different team of individuals behind it too.
