My Hughes 40 DirectTV Tivo has a menu setting that says 'Record to VCR'. My
old VCR just died and it seems to be difficult to find replacement VCRs on
sale anymore. So, I thought it might be time to purchase a DVD recorder
instead.
Would it be possible to attach a DVD recorder to the DirectTV Tivo in the
place of a VCR and use it to record movies from my Tivo HD to it as one
would to a VCR? I am assuming of course that there is such a animal as a
stand alone (not part of a PC) DVD recorder. I have not started to look for
it.
